Erna Ria Germanero, 83, born on August 1, 1933, in Frankfurt, Germany, passed away July 21, 2017. She resided in Anaheim, California, at the time of her passing.

Erna Ria Germanero passed away July 21, 2017 surrounded by those she loved. She fought a long battle with dementia and can finally be at peace, reunited with husband Joseph, daughter Josie, and granddaughter Casey. Joseph Germanero took her out of war torn Germany and gave her a beautiful life she never could've imagined. After coming to America, Erna taught herself how to read and write English from watching game shows and badly dubbed kung fu movies. Erna could look at anything and make it. She loved crocheting tablecloths and knitting socks, sewing and making clothes. She could solve complex math problems off the top of her head. She was incredibly smart and talented. Erna was so proud to become an American citizen and loved learning about American history. She had a boisterous, happy personality and loved being the center of attention. She was a very generous woman and always loved giving to others, especially her family. Forever missed and always loved.💔she is survived by daughters Betty and Joann and grandchildren Joey and Shalon.
