Erminda F. Torre

Erminda F. Torre, 80, born on October 20, 1935 in Kalibo Aklan, Philippines and passed away on April 9, 2016. She resided in Los Angeles, California at the time of her passing. Erminda (known as Minda or Inday to her friends and family) was a long-time parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where she volunteered as a Sunday School teacher and participated in various prayer groups. Erminda enjoyed her work at Children's Hospital, Red Cross, and Clinical Sciences during the 44 years in the United States after immigrating from the Philippines.

Erminda was a loving daughter to Avelino and Sotera Torre, who preceded her in death.

Erminda was a loving and supportive sister to Edith (Nestor), Elsa (Teofilo), Delia (Achilles), Carmen (William), and Edgar (Theresa).

Erminda was a caring role model and aunt to her nieces: Elena (Gerry), Rowena (Alan), Christy (Jafee), and Christina (Nilo).

Erminda was a kind aunt and served as a second mother to her nephews: Ernesto (Trinidad), Bart (Cherryl), Renato, Edan, Wilhelm (Geormilyn), Cris (Joy), and James.

Erminda was a devoted grand aunt and Lola to her grand nephews (Paulo, Cyril, Theo, Jason, Brandon, Jowil, and Kien Jaty) and grand nieces (Delyce Cloud and Jewel).

Erminda will be sadly missed by friends and family, but we will always remember her kindness, generosity, humility and grace. Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (3716 Boyce Avenue, Los Angeles, CA) at 11:30am on April 16, 2016 followed by burial services at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.
