Erlinda Garcia Tan

Erlinda Garcia Tan, 85, entered eternal peace on Thursday, January 23, 2014. She resided in Carson, California, at the time of her passing of over 40 years. Erlinda has been battling cancer for over 2 years. Her final days were surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home. Erlinda was born on September 6, 1928 in Gapan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. She attended the University of Santo Tomas and received her degree in Pharmacy. She immigrated to the United States in 1972 and worked to raise her children until retiring in 1992 from Bellflower Doctor's Hospital. She was an active parishioner of St. Philomena Catholic Church. She was very passionate about her prayer group that she established 21 years ago. Erlinda and her Santo Nino de Cebu, Carson Chapter members would gather together and pray the novena every weekend. Erlinda is survived by her children Roberto, Evangeline, and Angelito. Her three grandchildren, Jennifer, Moorea, and John. And her four great grandchildren, Derek, Jacob, Christian, and Cara.
