Erlinda Mendoza

Erlinda Mendoza, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, in San Marcos, California. She was 90 years old. Born on March 23, 1935, in the Philippines, Erlinda's journey began with her graduation from Far Eastern University where she earned a degree in Accounting.

Erlinda made the decision to immigrate to the United States along with her family in the 1970s. They first settled in the Los Angeles area, then in West Covina, CA. She embarked on a successful career as an Accountant and in over the course of more than 40 years, she contributed her skills to several notable companies, including Dresser Industries, Pacific Pumps, and Weatherite.

Erlinda is survived by her loving family, including her daughter Grace Mendoza-Nilsson and son Arnel Mendoza. She is also survived by her son-in-law Andreas Nilsson, as well as her grandchildren Maia and Alex Nilsson and Johnnie Mendoza.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernardo Mendoza, and her son, Michael Mendoza. Erlinda was also predeceased by her father, Tomas Cortez and her mother, Baltazara Cortez.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Memory Chapel located at 21300 Via Verde Drive, Covina, CA 91724, on October 24, 2025. The service will begin at 12:00 PM and conclude at 1:00 PM.
