Erlinda Gestosani Divinagracia was born in Bacolod City, Philippines on September 4, 1939 and was the third of ten children. She helped her parents at the family restaurant and accepted great responsibility at an early age. She financially supported her siblings' education, though she herself received no formal education. By the age of 19, she was the bread winner of her family.
She was courted by her late husband Jose Sr., one of her customers in their family restaurant, and they eventually married on June of 1959. Linda and Jose lived a wonderful life together and were blessed with nine beautiful children, twenty-seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. They enjoyed traveling the world and experiencing different cultures. They had the pleasure of traveling the world not once but three times. Out of all the countries they had visited, her favorite was Israel because of Jerusalem and its historic and religious significance. Linda and Jose had the privilege of renewing their 38th wedding vows in Cana, Israel. They renewed their vows with their eldest son, Joselito, and a congregation of religious people present.
In 1980, Linda joined the Charismatic Life in the Spirit Seminar in Bacolod City, Philippines. She helped assist in the installations of small groups, healing sessions, and prayer meetings. She joined the church choir with friends at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Bacolod and also at the La Purisima Catholic Church in Orange, California. She enjoyed singing and praising the Lord. Prior to her passing, she sang her favorite song, "Why have you chosen me," with her three beautiful daughters. The lyrics of this song signify her complete surrender to her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Bishop Emeritus of Negros Occidental was one of the last people who spoke to her. It was Bishop Navarra who told her to "embrace the light if she sees it." He told her, "The Holy Father is waiting for you to be in his loving arms." Linda passed peacefully on September 30, 2016.
