Erica Leigh (dechane) Crawford

Erica Leigh (DeChane) Crawford of Newton, NH passed away at her home on the morning of November 20, 2015. She was born on October 6, 1972 to Robert and the late Susan (Morel) DeChane. Erica was a generous, caring, and loving person—always putting others before herself. She married Jason D. Crawford in the summer of 1999, shoeless, at her favorite beach in Maine. They raised three beautiful children together. She was an active member of her community and was loved by all who met her. Known for her generosity and open ear, she had many friends from all over the world.

Erica graduated from Methuen High School, Class of 1990 and from Florida Community College in 1994 with her associates degree in travel and hospitality. Erica worked for many companies over the years. One of her fondest memories from her working years was when she drank a Sex on the Beach with Buzz Aldrin while she was on a contract with NASA. For the past few years she has been a stay at home mom taking care of her three children and her husband. She enjoyed taking family vacations to Disney World, "the happiest place on earth" for her.

Erica is survived by her loving husband, Jason Crawford, and her three children; Schyler DeChane-Crawford, Shaylee Crawford, and Robert Crawford. Her father, Robert DeChane. Her sisters; Tracy (DeChane) Cloutier and husband, Marc Cloutier and Kori (DeChane) AlHajj and husband, Richard AlHajj. Her mother-in-law, Pauline Crawford. Her sisters-in-law; Patricia Romei and husband, Joseph, Leandra LeClerc and husband, Christopher and Rebecca Crawford. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends also survive her.

Family and friends are invited to attend Erica's Life Celebration on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 4-7 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A), Plaistow, NH 03865.
