Epifanio Sarabia

Epifanio Barreras Sarabia, 91, of West Covina, CA, entered into eternal rest on November 26, 2025, surrounded by family and upheld by the prayers of those who loved him.
Born on June 15, 1934 in Durango, Mexico, to Crescencio Sarabia and Concepcion Barreras. Epifanio lived a life rooted in faith, guided by the love he had for his family: both immediate and extended, and strengthened by the love of the Virgen de Guadalupe and Christ. A devoted husband, parent, grandfather, son, sibling, uncle and friend, Epifanio is survived by Luciana, his wife; Grego, Alberto, Angelica, Claudia, Cristina and Christian, his children; and his eleven grandchildren, who will forever treasure his example of humility, compassion, kindness and JOY. Throughout his life, Epifanio faithfully participated in the sacraments, found joy in serving others, and embodied what it meant to live life to the fullest. His dedication to his family and all those he loved was unrivaled and touched many, leaving behind a legacy of spiritual strength and gentle kindness. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on December 13th at 10:30 at St. Anthony's in San Gabriel, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, honoring Epifanio’s belief that no child should have to suffer. May perpetual light shine upon him, and may Epifanio rest in the peace of Christ.
