Enrique "Henry" Perales Jr, 88, was born on July 09, 1937, in Crystal City, TX, was called home to be with our Lord on September 20, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents Martina Salinas Perales and Enrique Perales, Sr. He was the third oldest among his siblings Guadalupe (Perales) Amaya, Eugenio Perales, Irma (Perales) DeLaCruz, Alfredo Perales, Josefina (Perales) Saldivar, Bertha (Perales) Gonzales, Jimmy Perales, Juan Perales.
During his high school days, he met the true love of his life, Maria Garcia Perales and the two were married on November 7, 1956 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City, TX. They had three beautiful children there in Crystal City, Jesse Perales, Elsa Perales, and Enrique Perales, Jr III, before moving his family out to Indio, CA in 1964, where they would go on to have two more beautiful boys, Carlos Perales, and Juan Perales. Together they poured their hearts and souls into raising their children with all the love and support they could possibly give. They are Grandparents to 13 grandchildren that they love dearly along with 17 great-grandchildren.
Henry worked different jobs back in Crystal City, TX, including as a labor contractor, and in an ice factory. And then in California he started working as a landscaper and he went on to start his own successful Landscaping business for more than 48 years, at one point he had all four of his sons working alongside him before retiring in 2012.
In addition to his enormous love for his wife, Maria and his family, Henry had a very strong passion for music. He played the trumpet from a very young age, including in the Crystal City High School Band, and for an orchestra some evenings and weekends in Crystal City, TX and learned to play the guitar as well. He also learned to play the piano, and started his own Tejano music bands at two different points in his life here in California and recorded an album as well.
Henry would love to fire up his bbq grills and frequenlty had his family over at his house and cook some delicious carne asada, while Maria would cook up all the side dishes to complete the meals. Another of his favorite meals was cooking up some freshly made menudo and having family over to enjoy. Henry was a man of huge faith, having volunteered at numerous Catholic encounters with Our Lady of Soledad Catholic Church in Coachella, CA over the years and would always pray for his Familia's well being and to be protected, he has always been proud of his Familia and grateful to God for all the blessings that he and his Familia received, which are just a few examples of how Henry had what one would call a life well lived. He will always be LOVED by those closest to him and remembered by so many who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in Heavenly Peace Beloved Husband and Father Henry Perales.
