Enrique Vidal De Jesus

Enrique Vidal De Jesus, 88, passed away peacefully April 6, 2014. He was born on November 1, 1925, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and lived there many years before his dedication to his Country led him to volunteer willingly in the Army to defend the United States during the Second World War. Enrique then found his home in Manhattan, New York and later in life re-established his family in California. He spent his last years enjoying his retirement as a resident in Walnut, California.

Enrique was known for his love of a good cup of coffee, home made meals, a charming smile, and quick laughter. He was a dedicated family man as evidenced by the deep love for his wife Rosa Elba and loving bonds he created amongst his children, grand children, and great grandchildren.

Enrique was predeceased by his parents Romona Vidal and Manuel De Jesus; a brother and sister; his step-son Charles A. Romero; and his wife Rose Elba Cardona De Jesus. Enrique was a devoted and caring father and (great)grandfather, he will be deeply missed by his sister Romona Montes and two brothers Angelo and Pepin De Jesus; his son David and his wife Sylvia of Walnut, California; his grandchildren Kayli and Dave,Tiffany and Ben, Desiree and Cullen; and great grandchildren Arabella, Charlie, Cosette, Madeleine, and Lola Rose.

All services were private and entrusted to Forest Lawn, Covina, California. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you take a moment every now and again to remember a fond memory of Enrique in the hope that his legacy will live on in the hint of your smile(s).
