Enid Durant

Enid Vera Durant, 91, resided in Castaic, California for over 30 years

until she passed away on March 26, 2o23- the same date her

beloved husband who passed on March 26, 2017.

Enid was born on January 6, 1932 in Guyana to the union of her

mother Grace Alberga born in Guyana and father Maurice B.

Alberga born in Holland. She was the youngest of 4 siblings. She

was preceded in death by her husband Robert Clement Durant,

her brother Patrick Alberga and her sisters Elsie Philippi and

Daphne "Anne" Burns. All 4 lived into their 90s. She is also

proceeded in death by her nephew David Jahn.

Enid met the love of her life Robert Clement Durant while

vacationing in Barbados. The following year they married and

soon followed Elizabeth Roberta Durant and David Clement

Durant.

She has 3 grandchildren Travis Marley Durant, Trevor David

Durant, Nykki Jordan Durant, and a great granddaughter

Aaliyah Durant. She loved to spend time with family and friends

including her nieces and great nieces and nephews. She loved

going out boating, shopping, on cruises, and to Barbados to visit

friends.

Enid was a strong yet gentle woman who enjoyed living life to

the fullest. Professionally she was a R.N. Her granddaughter is

following in her path as a nurse. She retired at 55 so that she

could enjoy her retired life with her husband and family.
