Eng Sim Touch

December 10, 1944 — June 11, 2018

Eng Touch was a man of honor, intellect, and charisma. He cared for nothing but the happiness and prosperity of his family, and he did everything in his power to ensure it. Through the harshness and reality of life, he stuck by his family, especially his wife, Rany. He never broke any promise, for he was a man of his word. Although his actions were considered stoic, admirable, and sometimes harsh, his personality was carefree, welcoming, honest, and easy to love. Every person who was given the chance to meet this man, was immediately attracted to his giving nature and the warmth of his heart. We were all blessed to have grown close to a man who did everything for those he cared for and even for those he had barely met. He taught us how to forgive, cherish, and love one another. He had never spread an ounce of hatred, and he always brought light even on the darkest of days. One could even say he was the sun that peaked through the darkest of clouds, or that he was the rainbow that came after a rainy day. Eng Touch managed to bring out the best aspects of life even when everything seemed to go wrong. He would make you laugh while you cry, and he gave you strength when you felt like you didn't have any. He wasn't just an ordinary man. He was a man that knew what had to be done and did it. He poured his heart and soul to protect everybody. He gave his all until there was nothing left. He was the best friend, grandfather, father, and husband anybody could have asked for. He carried the weight of the world on his shoulders, and he did so with the biggest smile on his face. His laugh, smile, and warmth will be forever be cherished, and he will always be remembered. His legacy lives on through his wife, children, grandchildren, and the memories they shared. Let the heavens welcome him, and may he be showered with the same amount of love he had given to this world throughout his time here.
