Emmi Katherina Carman

Emmi Katherina Carman, 93, born on April 10, 1920, in Kassel, Germany, passed away January 4, 2014. She resided in Huntington Beach, California, at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
Emmi had three children; Brigitte, Monika, and William, five grandchildren; Bernhard, Stephanie, Kimberly, Jessica and Laura. She also had six great grandchildren; Maya, David, Sarah, Johan, Abigail and Gabriel. Emmi moved to the United States after her marriage to William Carman on December 17, 1947.
Emmi was the center of her family and the focus of many vacations and reunions. Her children, grandchildren loved to visit her and have wonderful memories of the times spent with her at her home in Anaheim and on vacations all over the world.
For years she was known as Freeway Emmi because she was always willing and able to drive anywhere her family and friends wanted to go. All they had to do was say "do you want to go?" and the answer was yes!! It didn't really matter where.
She was always quick to remind her family and friends of the importance of the Power Of Positive Thinking and didn't just say it but lived it as well.
Emmi had a quick and warm smile for everyone but reserved the biggest for her family.
She loved her family and friends and is loved by them. She will be greatly missed.
