Emmanuel N. Manlulu

Emmanuel "Manning" Manlulu went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at his home in North Hollywood, CA. He was surrounded by his wife of 40 years, Ofah, their three children- Pamela, Julius, Andre, his daughter-in-law Larissa Escobar-Manlulu and son-in-law Kyle Workman. Manning was 81 years old. He was born in 1937 on Christmas Day in Guagua, Pampanga, Philippines, the eldest of six children to Hermogenes and Gerarda Manlulu. Manning grew up in Pampanga and received his BA in Pre-Law from Guagua National College. He worked in the printing industry and shortly after founded several successful businesses in the home furnishings industry, partnering with skilled furniture makers. Manning married Ofelia Ocampo on April 15, 1979. Their first child, Pamela, was born in 1981. In 1982, Julius was born. In 1984, they immigrated to the US while his wife Ofah was pregnant with their third child. It was Manning's dream that they immigrate to the US to pursue a better life for their family. Shortly after their arrival to the US, Andre was born. The family resided in Los Angeles. Manning worked in the Food and Health services department at Glendale Memorial Hospital. He had an incredible way of connecting with people. A smile for everyone, he was known as a friend to all.
