Elvena ""Renee"" Hollingsworth, 85, passed away peacefully at her home January 6, 2020. She resided in Grand Terrace, CA at the time of her passing. Renee was born on August 18, 1934, in Springfield , IL, United States, to Elvin and Leah Hart. She was raised in springfield until the 1940's when her family moved to Pasadena, CA. Renee married Marcus Donald Hollingsworth on September 30, 1950 in Pasadena, CA. Together they had eight children: Karen, Mark, Cindy, Donna, Kevin, Cathy, Robert and Bradley. Renee was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her ever growing family and their may family functions. In her later years she enjoyed camping and the beach. She will be remembered for always saying "Be sweet and lovely". Renee was preceded in death by her husband Donald and son Mark. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Karen Sutherland and husband Edward, Cindy Marino and husband Charlie, Donna Faulkner and husband Ron, Kevin, Cathy Funk and husband Jerry, Robert and wife Jodi, Bradley and wife Renee. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren, who ALL adored her.
Memorials: in lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
Services: Wednesday January 15,2020 at 1:30 O'Clock Forest Lawn Glendale, CA. 1712 S Glendale Ave Glendale, CA @ We Kirk O'the Heather Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.

***Following the services there will be a celebration of life for "Grammy". It will be located at the American Legion in East Pasadena - 179 N Vinedo Ave Pasadena, CA 3:30 O'Clock . Please Spread the word, It would be great to have as many people as possible to celebrate her life and legacy.
