Elva M. Miller

Elva M. Miller, 75, born on October 12, 1943, in Long Beach, California, passed away December 19, 2018. She resided in Palm Springs, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, California.
Elva graduated from Sacred Heart of Mary High School in Montebello and received degrees from CSU Los Angeles, She was a fashion designer and accomplished seamstress. She was employee of LAUD for 30+ years where she was a high school teacher, site coordinator and principal. At the core of her work in education was a strong belief that all students could learn and achieve when provided the access and benefits of good teaching. Upon retirement from LAUSD she fulfilled her life long dream of moving to Palm Springs, CA. There she enjoyed the benefits of life in the desert: visiting local art galleries and openings, going to offering at local theaters, and above all spending long hours shopping the local stores and boutiques.. She had many friends that will miss her smile and cheerful personality. She will be missed.
