Elsie Rash, 98, born on June 10, 1925, in Long Beach, CA, United States, passed away August 25, 2023. Elsie grew up in Wilmington, CA., where she attended Banning High School and graduated in 1942. After High School, she joined the Marines and served until WWII ended in 1945. She met Duane Rash in Wilmington. They were married in 1947 and lived in Compton, CA. They moved to Lakewood, CA in 1951. Elsie and Duane had 3 children, Bill, Bob, & Patty(Deceased 2019). They moved to Long Beach, CA in 1960, where they lived until Duane passed away in 1986. Elsie moved to Murrieta, CA in 1994 and then to Corona, CA In 1998. Elsie joined the Lakewood Womans Club in 1953 and remained a member the rest of her life. During her service in Womens Clubs, she also served as District President in the Los Cerritos District, as well as just about every Officer and Committee Chair within the Lakewood Club. She was also a member of the Corona Womens Club. In 2021, she moved to Woodinville, WA. She resided in Woodinville, WA at the time of her passing. She is survived by her son Bill and his wife Susan, her son Bob and his wife Jeanie, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Long Beach, CA.
