Elsie Leora Agnew

Elsie Leora Agnew, 93, born on January 12, 1921, in Louisville,Kentucky, passed away January 16, 2014. She resided in Upland, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina, California. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Wilfred W. Agnew. and her sister Doris Bell. Left to treasure her memory are her sons Stephen Agnew, George Agnew, Phil Agnew and wife Missy, Grand-daughters Taryn Weiss and husband Mark, Jara Winters and husband Robert, and beloved great-grandchildren Adeline, Luke, Giselle and Dylan. She is also survived by her her sister Norma Gary, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Elsie was a lifelong avid reader; averaging 2-3 books per week. She loved flowers, chocolate, Tex-Mex chimichangas, and being with people of all ages. She had a quick and clever sense of humor which regularly surprised and delighted all who knew her. She cherished time with her family.

Most importantly, Elsie was a woman of faith. Her faith meant everything to her; she spent considerable time in prayer, Bible study and worship throughout her life. She loved deeply and was loved just as deeply, and she will be greatly missed.
