Ella Pearl Thomas

Ella Pearl Thomas, 77, born on April 14, 1937, in Bernalillo, New Mexico, passed away June 8, 2014. She resided in Conroe, Texas at the time of her passing.

She grew up in Los Angeles, CA and at the age of 17, she married Clifford Allen "Tom" Thomas on July 4, 1954. Pearl retired from KPMG Peat Marwick in 1997 and moved from La Habra to Texas with her daughter, Kim and grandson, Rick. She enjoyed working in the garden and loved genealogy and reading books. She cherished the time spent with her children and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandsons. She lost her loving husband of 18 years in 1972. She raised 5 children on her own and was a very strong woman. We always thought she "could walk on water".

Pearl is preceded in death by her parents, Bertie Clifford "Pete" and Cleon McNeil Arnold and her brother Ben and sister Phyllis and her grandson Johnathan. She is survived by 5 children, Christopher, Kimberly, Janella, Martin and Michael and 18 Grandchildren, Caitlin, Matthew, Kelly, Kasey, Zachary, Richard, Chase, Damien, Felicia, Tyler, Lucas, Emily, Clifford, Paul, Daniel, Joshua, Mark, and Samuel and 2 great-grandsons, Matthew and Travis.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 10:30 am on Monday June 23, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fullerton, CA. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. The procession will then travel to Forest Lawn Covina Hills for the graveside service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina, California.
