Elizabeth Weeyoung Lee passed away on August 22, 2018 at the age of 83.

Elizabeth Weeyoung Lee was born January 1935, in South Korea, the first of seven children of Dong Choon Lee and Hee Jung Sung. She grew up in Seoul
Korea and went to Jae Dong Elementary school and Kyung-gi high school. She graduated from Sook-Myung Women's University with degree in English Literature. She married Edmund Sei-yong Lee in1957. She had 4 daughters and immigrated to United States in 1967. She and Edmund settled in Louisville, Kentucky and spent 51 yrs there. She was widowed in April 2018. She moved to Los Angles, California in June 2018 to live with her eldest daughter, Christine.

She was a founding member of First Korean Baptist Church of Louisville, Kentucky, and served there for over 40 years. She has served in women's ministry, choir, and senior ministry. She enjoyed cooking and loved to entertain. She was a firm believer in physical fitness and exercised until her last day of her life. She was a life time member at the local YMCA. She also loved music and arts, dancing, playing the guitar, singing Karaoke, sewing, and traveling with church senior group. She also loved singing in Louisville Korean Women's Choir.

She was survived by brother, Eung Whan, two sisters, Yoon Hae and Kae Young, four daughters, Christine Um, Angie Kimble, Unjin Kim, Jean Lee, five grandsons, Alex Um, Christopher Um, Shane Kimble, Ian Kimble, Nathan Kim and great grand daughter, Lauren Um.
