Eleuterio Abalajen Tingzon

Eleuterio Abalajen Tingzon, lovingly known as “Papa” to his family, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on August 21, 1942, in Western Samar, Philippines, Eleuterio lived a life filled with love, resilience, and dedication to his family.

In his early years, Eleuterio attended a Catholic school while pursuing studies at the seminary, completing his second year of college. Though life led him down a different path, his faith and values remained a guiding light throughout his life.

In November 1973, Eleuterio met the love of his life, Teresita. The two were married on May 1, 1974, and built a beautiful family together, blessed with four children—Cyrus, Cyvel, Cyreane, and Cyron—and nine adoring grandchildren.

Eleuterio’s career journey began as a merchandiser before moving to Manila, where he worked at Manlapaz Printing Press. In 1978, he took on a new challenge by joining the Philippine Coast Guard. Later, Eleuterio and his family emigrated to Los Angeles, where he worked tirelessly as a freelance laborer, taking on job after job to provide a better future for his loved ones.

Known for his immense love and devotion, Eleuterio was not just a father and grandfather but a protector, caregiver, and constant source of strength for everyone in his family. After a life-changing accident nearly nine years ago, Eleuterio showed extraordinary courage and resilience, earning him the endearing title of the family’s "Miracle Man." His perseverance and spirit inspired all who knew him.

Eleuterio will be remembered for his warm smile, unwavering faith, and boundless love for his family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
