Elena Damazo Iturralde

Elena D. Iturralde was a devoted Christian and beloved by her family and friends. She was born on August 18, 1929, in Clark Air Base, Philippines to Jose Damazo and Leonila Dimacali. She passed away at the age of 91 on August 9, 2021, and will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Glendale Cemetary on August 23, 2021.

Elena had two siblings, Percy and Elpidio. She has two children Arlene and John. Her daughter Arlene is married to Robby Epps and they have three children, Sean, Casey and Tiffany. Her son John is married to Rita and they have four children, Jesse, Chris, Derek and Druana. Elena also has five great grandsons, Blaise and Silas (parents, Tiffany and Benjamin) and Kai, Nixon and Remy (parents, Sean and Jennifer).

Elena received her Bachelors of Science in Education from Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines and went on to teach high school in the Philippines for a few years. In 1973, she immigrated to the United States of America and took on a different career as a bookeeper in a law firm for many years, and also worked for the City of Los Angeles Parks and Recreation before retiring at 80 yrs old.

Elena raised her children in the church and with the nurture and knowledge of Jesus Christ our Savior. Elena was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
