Eleanor Ann Otos

Otos, Eleanor, 94, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed peacefully on March 19, 2015 at The Fountains at the Carlotta. Born June 11, 1920 in Omaha, Neb., she grew up with four sisters and four brothers. After graduating from St. Mary's High School, she worked as a bookkeeper at Armor and Co. until meeting her husband Roger Otos in Colorado Springs, Colo. He attended college in Denver, Colo. and after graduation, he moved the family (by then including their son Patrick) to Inglewood, Calif. Elle began working at JC Penny where she retired at age 60. At retirement they moved to Brush Prairie, Wash. where she lost her beloved husband within a year. After her grandson Zak was born in 1988, she moved to the desert and played an important part in his life. She was an avid supporter of her grandson's sporting activities. She is survived by her sisters, MariAnne Johnson of Las Vegas, Nev. and JoAnne McGlade of Omaha, Neb.; son, Patrick and his wife Victoria Otos of Bermuda Dunes, Calif.; and grandson, Zak. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 5:00 pm in the Coachella Chapel, Forest Lawn Mortuary, in Coachella, Calif.
