Elaine Natalie Whittington, 81, born on May 19, 1932, in Los Angeles, California, passed away August 28, 2013. Elaine was the first woman buyer to be hired at Lockheed California Company and went on to become the second woman to be elected President of the National Association of Purchasing Managers (NAPM) now the Institute for Supply Management (ISM). She taught Purchasing Management at UCLA and wrote numerous articles on negotiation and supply management. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother and grandmother and was very committed to her church family at Shadow Hills Presbyterian Church.
She resided in Sunland, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.
