Mary Ela Cope Waters, 100, born on November 28, 1912, in Grays, South Carolina, quietly passed away December 3, 2012 in her home at peace with life. Residing in Burbank, California from the late 1940's with her husband Edward or "Eddy" as she often called him after moving to the Burbank community from their early life in the Hollywood neighborhood of McCadden Place. Edward made his career in radio working behind the scenes as a broadcast engineer. Edward left this life May 26th, 2006 quietly passing away with Ela vigilant at his side. Married 73 years, they were a shining example of marriage and friendship. All to often one would find them sharing a walk down their neighborhood streets holding hands into their 90's. Their ashes will be placed together in the Cope family plot outside Grays South Carolina per their longstanding wishes. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.
