Eileen Lillian Muzina

Eileen Lillian Muzina, 68, of Palm Springs, Calif., passed away peacefully on November 6, 2012. Eileen was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and was a resident of Palm Springs for nine years. She was one of the first women admitted to Villanova University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering. Before her retirement, she held many high level engineering positions and was the owner of her own engineering consulting company. She is survived by her partner of 36 years, Carolyn Parker; Carolyn's mother, Kathryn Parker; Carolyn's siblings and their spouses; her cousin, Jamie Kolb; her sisters, Joan Colkers and Caroline Daley; many nieces and nephews; many good friends; and her beloved parrots, Ria and Simba. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 12, 2012, 1:30 p.m. at the Ramon Chapel of Forest Lawn Cathedral City, 69855 Ramon Road, Cathedral City, CA 92234. Refreshments to follow. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Eileen's name to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) or the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.
