Eileen Marie Higgins, born in Bakersfield, California on November 15, 1943, sadly passed away in San Diego on December 11, 2023.

Eileen's life was a tapestry woven with threads of kindness, generosity, and a love of family. Her knack for numbers led her down the path of accounting and bookkeeping, where she excelled throughout her career. In her worldly adventures alongside her beloved husband Rob, Eileen radiated warmth and joy wherever she went. Her laughter was infectious, capable of lighting up the darkest room and bringing smiles to countless faces. Eileen's quick wit and humor were unmatched, effortlessly weaving tales that would leave others doubled over with laughter.

Eileen embraced a multitude of hobbies over the years, mastering each with grace and tenacity before moving on to conquer new challenges. Her travels took her to all seven continents and numerous countries, creating a treasure trove of memories that will live on in the hearts of those she encountered along the way.

In this time of mourning, Eileen is survived by her loving husband Robert Higgins, her dear sister Deborah Kays, stepchildren Tom Higgins and Karen Poliseno, grandchildren Sabrina Higgins, Spencer Higgins, and Laurel Farmiloe, as well as nephew Sean Hlavac, niece Wendy Ferreira, and a host of great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Edith and James Gamino, her sister Judith Dara and her brother Kenneth Gamino.

Eileen Marie Higgins will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the laughter she shared, the love she gave so freely, and the light that continues to shine brightly through all whose lives she touched.
