Ed joined the U.S. Navy October 1943 attending boot camp and Boilermaker's School in San Diego CA. He was Honorably discharged in May 1946 in San Pedro, CA and received the Asiatic-Pacific Area Metal, American Area Metal, and World War II Victory Metal. He was hired by San Gabriel Valley Water Co. in El Monte, CA shortly after discharge and spent his entire working years with the company, retiring with 46 years of employment in 1992.
