Edward Duane Stensrud

Edward Duane Stensrud, 80, born on January 7, 1941, in Fargo, ND, United States, passed away September 21, 2021. He resided in Corona, CA at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.
Edward was born to Edwin and Dorothy Stensrud in Fargo North Dakota But he was raised by Virgil and Dorothy Andersen when he started high school he moved to California and stayed with his aunt Mildred he went to school not very long when he told us half the girls where pregnant so he dropped out and joined the Marine corps on 7-16-1958 until 14 July 1961 where he went in with my moms brother Lee Hanson he did three years at Marine corps Base Camp Pendleton San Diego Ca which was perfect for him he was able to come to LA quite frequently and stay with his aunt Millie after his discharge he moved back to Fargo North Dakota and Married Carol Leon Hanson he tried construction in Fargo but hated the weather and moved to Los Angeles in 1962 where he started driving tow truck he did that for 40 years until he became a dispatcher and then retired 2010. During his lifetime Edward always had hobbies from raising rabbits, birds, dogs the dogs always seemed to go for rides and never come back ?? and 4 children even though he worked 12 hrs a day he was a loving Dad and would drag us to rabbit shows on sat and sun mostly to help out but it was fun spending time with him he would always take his three weeks off in the summer to go back to North Dakota for a visit with the family,
Edward always loved the chaos of all kinds of people around him all the time it is what made everybody love him. He was always a giving and loving man.
During his last few years he spent time going to his sons cabin and watching the snow fall, his son cut wood and the occasional car passing by the front of the cabin. He and his son argued every two days they called that the worst 20 min of his life Eddie called it bath day. But in the end I know my Dad is in a better place he believed Jesus was his savior and is heaven with the rest of the family and we will be together again some day.
Edward was a loyal family man always provided for his family, till the day he passed.
Edward is survived by his sons Edward D Stensrud corona ca, Michael D Stensrud Minot North Dakota, Daughter's Renee P Stensrud Minot North Dakota, Carol L Stensrud Pomona Ca, Daughters in law Christine Stensrud, and Carmen Lavono, Samantha, three brothers James R Andersen West Fargo, ND, Robert B. (Jean) Andersen Horace, ND Randall L. (Marcy) Andersen, Fargo, ND . 10 treasured Grandchildren Monique, Andrew, Devin, Michael, Crystal, Carmen, Steven, Richard, Brianna, Robert, 9 Great Grandchildren Mila, Olivia rose, Michael, Brian, Bobby, Iseiah, Michelle, Nicholas, Charlotte.
