Plaistow, NH: Edward C. "Ted" Allen, 58, of Plaistow died on October 22, 2014 in Newington, NH.

Born in Weymouth, MA, and raised and educated in Portland, ME, son of the late Robert and Marjorie (Bicknell) Allen, he graduated from Portland High School and attended the University of Southern Maine, where he received his Business Degree. He was currently attending Granite State College.

Following his graduation from the University of Southern Maine, Ted joined the United States Coast Guard Reserve in 1990. He was called to active duty following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. After completion of his duties in the Coast Guard Reserve, Ted joined the Army National Guard 12th Civil Support/W.M.D in Concord, NH from 2002 to 2011. He was also instrumental in establishing CERT for the town of Plaistow.

He was currently employed as the communications maintenance director for the New Hampshire State Police Department.

An amazing husband and devoted father to his daughter, Ted enjoyed running, hiking, kayaking, and sailing.

He is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Cynthia E. (Goudreault) Allen, his daughter, Skye E. Allen of Plaistow, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Douglas and Peg Allen of Portland, ME, John and Susan Allen of Phoenix, AZ, and Thomas and Ann Allen of Cypress, CA, a sister and brother-in-law, Carole and Jon Wilbec of Lincoln, NE, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Lucine (Fiset) Goudreault of Plaistow, a brother-in-law, David Goudreault and his partner Michael Capozza of Goffstown, NH, two sisters-in-law, Pamela (Goudreault) Perreault and her husband Dr. Robert Perreault of Salem, NH, and Deborah Goudreault and her companion John Andrews of Newmarket, and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will take place on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Atkinson Congregational Church, 101 Main Street, Atkinson, NH. The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, in honor of Ted donations are requested to aid in the education of his daughter, c/o Skye E.
