Edna May Magaldi

Edna May Magaldi was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world after a brief illness on December 8, 2023 at age 92.

Edna was born to Catherine and Joseph Esposito on July 31, 1931 in New York City. She was one of four sisters and is survived by one, Rose Marie Trapani. In 1952, Edna married John Magaldi. The couple moved to Los Angeles, California in 1954 and welcomed daughter Andrea in 1959. In 1981, Edna and Andrea moved to Palm Desert to start a successful interior design company, which they ran for the next 30 years.

Edna is survived by her daughter Andrea Pratt and son-in-law Patrick Pratt. She was a proud grandmother to Brian and Arianna and an adoring great-grandmother to Sutton Ward and Benjamin Pratt. Those who knew her, knew how much she loved her family. Edna was the matriarch of our family, and we will not be the same without her. 

A graveside ceremony will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, January 2, 2023 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Coachella. A nearby reception with family and friends to follow.
