Edith Lorene Williams

Edith Lorene Williams, 83, formerly of Perris, California, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Los Alamitos West Health Care Center. She was born to the late Preston and Lillie Taylor, November 19, 1928, in Clarksville, Tx. Edith attended and recieved her diploma at Cheatham High School. In 1945, she married Charles Burnette Bagby and from that union they had five children. Edith later relocated to California and married the late Johnnie Williams.

Edith worked at McDonnell Douglas for 16 years as a Structure Mechanic before she retired in 1985. She accepted Christ at an early age, and was an active member of African Methodist Episcopal Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping and spending time with her family.

Edith returned home to the LORD on April 26, 2012 and was preceded in passing by her son, Darryl and her husband of over 40 years, Johnnie Williams.

Edith is survived by her two brothers: Eugene and Wayne; five children: Delores Duncan (Lee) of Cypress, Burnetta Brown of Rancho Cucamonga, Bruce Bagby (Velma) of Richmond, and Lee "Darnell" (Rosie) of Hutto, Texas; three step Children: Philistine, Edward, and Johnnie Williams Jr. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

A viewing will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 from 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM at Forest Lawn in Cypress. The memorial service will also be held at Forest Lawn in Cypress at Church of Our Father's on Saturday May 12th at 1:00 PM.
