Edith Victoria Schrey

Edith Victoria Schrey was born on January 20, 1936 in Manassas, Virginia to Harry & Ruth Cornwell. Edith passed away surrounded by family in her home of fifty-one years in West Covina, CA on May 25, 2016 after a long battle of cancer. Edith worked as a manicurist in the House of Representatives in Washington DC. where she met and married the father of her four children. The family moved around a lot being that her husband was in the Air Force, they eventually settled in West Covina,CA in 1965 where she raised her four children. Edith attended Saint Christopher's Church where she belonged to the Legion of Mary she volunteered visiting the elderly in convalescent homes and prayed with them, she also donated her time helping out with Meals on Wheels. Edith worked in Retail Sales for over 46 years she loved going to work everyday, Edith loved being around people and found joy in everyday. She really enjoyed life and gave thanks to God for everything she had. Preceded in death by her sister Rachel Barbee and her grandson Christopher Schrey. Survived by her brother Elwood Cornwell and two sisters Liz McConchie & Louise Allen and her four children Alfred Schrey, Karl Schrey, Linda Ramono & Barbara Carter. Edith has been blessed with 14 Grandchildren David, Daniel, Tammy, Kristal. Jennifer, Bryan, Hiedi, Amy, Christopher, Becky, Michael, Jessica, Bryson & Meagan and 18 Great Grandchildren who she loved dearly. Edith was loved by many who knew her and will be missed until we meet again in Heaven.
