Edith "Edie" Livingood

Edith "Edie" Livingood, 88, born on November 28, 1926, in the City of Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2015 at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Earl R. Livingood in 2004. And she is survived by her sons Robert (Rebecca) Livingood of Sylmar and Richard Livingood of Simi Valley, and her grandchildren, David (Kimberly) Wooten of Sylmar, Vicki (Joseph) Benson of Granada Hills, and her great-grandchildren, Heather (Patrick) Benson Alsoszathai-Petheo of Granada Hills, Robert and Matthew Wooten of Sylmar, and her great-great-grandson Connor Benson Alsoszathai-Petheo. She lived most of her life in La Crescenta California, where she worked as a teacher's aide and volunteered her time at the local YMCA, where she was honored as volunteer of the year in 1992, an award that she was thrilled to receive. She resided in Sylmar, California at the time of her passing. Edie was surrounded by her loved ones during her final hours and was truly at peace when the angels called her home. She lived and loved a full life and like a lady knew when to make a graceful exit.

There will be a small graveside service at Forest Lawn of Glendale Friday April 24th at 10am. Please stop at the information booth for directions.
