Edgardo Cortez Co

Edgardo "Eddie" Cortez Co , 80 years old, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Boracay, Philippines.

A vigil service will be held from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018 followed by a funeral service on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of Our Heritage, Forest Lawn - Covina Hills, 21300 Via Verde Drive, Covina, CA 91724.

Edgardo was born July 5, 1937 in Gerona, Tarlac, Philippines to Carolina and Thomas Co. He is one of ten children. He graduated high school from Gerona, Tarlac and attended the University of East in the Philippines. On August 6, 1966, he married Ana Marie Lozano. Edgardo retired from Western Union in 2004. Loving the serenity of the Boracay Islands, he split his time in retirement between Boracay, Philippines and Las Vegas, Nevada. Edgardo enjoyed watching movies and cooking. He was an avid traveler who loved to experience new things and see new places. Above all he loved spending time with his family and friends, both old and new. He will best be remembered for his hard work, determination, dedication, strong will, compassion, and protectiveness of his family.

Edgardo is survived by his wife, Ana Marie Co; his four children, Michael Co and his wife Angela, Pia Katrina Co, Edgardo Co, Jr. and his wife Tess, Ana Marie Hinkle and her husband Timothy; seven grandchildren, Edwin, Tee-jay, Kaitlyn, Ashley, William, Gian and Samuel; his siblings, Mila Co, Myrna Gonzales, Renato Co, Zenaida Kitamura, Ellen Co, Carolina "Jean" Co, Violet Enriquez and Danilo Co, and many nephews, nieces, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Carolina and Thomas and his sister Imelda Abad.
