Eddie Roy Lee

Eddie Roy Lee was born on Nov. 17, 1928 in Long Beach, CA, the third of 3 children.  He attended Rosemont Elementary School, Virgil Jr. High and Belmont High School.  After graduating from Belmont, Eddie furthered his education at Frank Wiggins Trade School, studying printing.  He briefly co-owned a couple of printing businesses.  He was drafted and served 2 years in the army during the Korean War. After being discharged, he worked for Leland A. Scott Printing and eventually became the foreman.  He would ultimately own part of the business, but sold it when he retired.

Eddie first met his wife Elza (Hall) in their teens.  After 13 years of courtship, they finally got married in 1959 and shortly thereafter, began their family.

At 94 years of age, Eddie passed away on July 28, 2023 at his home in Los Angeles surrounded by family. He is survived by a daughter Andrea (Derek Young), son Kevin (Jill) and granddaughter Kristyn and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Visitation services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm in the main building at Forest Lawn Glendale. Funeral and grave site services will also be held at Forest Lawn Glendale, on Saturday, September 2, at 9:30 am at the Church of the Recessional.
