Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Eddie Lawrence Jr. It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing on Friday, April 3, 2020, at the age of 79. Eddie Lawrence Jr. transitioned peacefully at his home in West Covina, CA with family by his side. He will be forever remembered by his wife of 55 years, Linda, children Andrew, Jeffrey, Amu Jamal, Latosha and Ameer Jamil, 11 grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, family and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Torres, father Eddie Lawrence Sr., and dear mother Rosie Lee Lawrence.

Due to the circumstances surrounding us today, our family is holding a virtual memorial for anyone who loved Eddie to share photos, memories, and precious thoughts as we celebrate his legacy.

The family will announce an upcoming Celebration of Life and private memorial.
