Earma Jean Lewis

Earma Jean Lewis, 77, of Palm Desert, Calif., passed away April 16, 2017. She was born on March 12, 1940 in Henderson, Texas. She married Billy Joe Lewis. She was first a nurse and her second career was a bus driver training instructor. She is survived by her spouse, Billy Joe Lewis; daughter, Andree' Smalls of Newport Beach, Calif.; sisters; Kathy Brown of Banning, Calif., Patricia Prior of Banning, Calif., and Ella K. Roy of Palm Springs, Calif.; brothers, James Prior of Texas, Henry Prior of Texas, Robert Prior of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., and Sortan Prior of Rancho Mirage, Calif; stepmother, Melvinie Josephine Johnson; and five grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Annie Mae Hill of Texas; father, James Prior of Texas; and son, Billy Lewis, Jr. A wake will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Forest Lawn Chapel in Indio. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Chapel in Indio. Burial to follow at Coachella Valley Public Cemetery in Coachella, Calif. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Indio.
