Earle Thomas Silvers

February 14, 1935 — January 29, 2023

Earle Silvers, 87, passed away at home on Sunday, January 29, 2023.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Earle was born in Krebs, Oklahoma on February 14, 1935. He was the son of Vivian Laverne and Leroy Everett Silvers. After the death of his father, Earle, his mother and his siblings, Jim (Harley), Dan and Robert, eventually relocated to Long Beach, California.

Earle attended Woodrow Wilson High School.

He joined the Marine Corps in 1953 and was stationed in Korea and Japan during the Korean War.

After serving his country, Earle worked as a computer programmer and eventually started his own consulting business. He had a strong aptitude for computers and technology.

Earle was an avid reader. He loved travelling, taking long drives, exploring new places and riding motorcycles. He bought his first motorcycle when he was 16 years old and he had several throughout his life with Jo Ann. They took many long rides together. Earle was skilled with his hands and could always be counted on for his assistance. He brightened life with his sunny disposition and positive attitude. True to his Marine roots, he often said, "every day is a holiday and every meal is a banquet". He has such a generous heart and was always willing to extend a helping hand.

Earle was married to the love of his life, Jo Ann, for 51 years. Earle was a devoted husband and father to his sons Darren, Jason and Justin. He loved his four grandchildren Jessica, Anthony, Kevin and Christianne. He was predeceased by his brother Robert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Parish, 43775 Deep Canyon Rd, Palm Desert, CA 92260 on February 21, 2023 at 11AM. Burial will follow at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City.
