Dylan James Demeritt

Dylan James Demeritt, age 15 of Newton, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill, MA.

He was born on December 27, 1997 in Exeter, NH, the son of Mathew A. Demeritt and Kimberlie-Ann Flint. He was raised and educated in Newton, NH and had just completed his freshman year at Sanborn Regional High School.

Dylan loved the outdoors, whether he was going swimming, stacking wood, climbing trees, riding his four-wheeler or just hanging around outside while his father was working in the yard. He was a happy-go-lucky boy who always had a smile on his face. He loved to torment his older brother, Bryan, one moment and share some candy he had bought with him the next. He loved playing with his family dogs, Scooby-Doo and Lacie, always giving them way too many treats or table food. He was really excited about the thought of going camping with his family in their new camper. Dylan really treasured his friendship with his best friend Erin.

He is survived by his parents, Mathew A. Demeritt and Kimberlie-Ann Flint, and his brother, Bryan M. Demeritt, all of Newton, NH. Grandparents; Jimmy Wilson and Gina Barrette of Amesbury, MA, Karen Wilson of East Kingston, NH, Karen Hall of Sandown, NH and Joe and Eileen Angers of Sandown, NH. Great Grandmothers; Patricia Wilson of Methuen, MA, Carlene Demeritt of East Hampstead, NH and Carolyn Arsenault of MA. Aunts and uncles; James J. and Liana Wilson of Hampton Beach, NH, Joe and Diane Angers of Ayer, MA, Patrick and Sea Wilson of Amesbury, MA, Ryan and Mikayla Angers of Sandown, NH, Martie and Domenick Branden of Brentwood, NH, Heidi Bogner and Joe Bowen of Fitchburg, MA, Gina Drake of Merrimack, MA. Several other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive Dylan.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Rt. 121A, Plaistow, NH. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
