Duane Alan Keck

Duane Alan Keck, age 51, of Glendale, California passed away on March 1st, 2022 in Burbank, California after a brief yet arduous battle with cancer.


Duane was born in Glendale to John and Lana Keck on June 13th, 1970. He attended Herbert Hoover High School and graduated in 1988. As a young man, he enjoyed camping, dirt bikes, off-roading, and every chance to be outdoors with nature.


While still attending high school Duane began his first job as an electrician under the mentorship of Robert Ferris of R.B. Electric. His drive and ambition quickly resulted in gaining official Journeyman credentials as a Commercial Electrician. At age 28 and having a clear passion for anything train-related, he switched careers and started down the path to become a Locomotive Engineer for a duration of 24 years, until his death, for Union Pacific Railroad.
He was a student who became the teacher and created a tight bond of fellowship with his Railroad family including but not limited to his brotherhood with the E Clampus Vitus fraternal organization.


Duane is survived by his parents, John and Lana Keck; his daughters, Juliana Marie Keck and Angela Dee Keck; his sister Janell Lorraine Keck; his uncles Vernus B. Keck and Donald R. Keck; and his aunt, Ann E. Carpenter.


The Keck family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to everyone in Duane's life that contributed to him becoming the outstanding human being he left us knowing him to be.


There will be a graveside memorial service on March 30th, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills located at 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA.
