Douglas Rindt

October 23, 1940 — April 2, 2025

Los Angeles, CA

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Raymond Rindt on April 2, 2025, in Chatsworth, California. Doug was born on October 23, 1940, in Appleton, Wisconsin, and lived a full life, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lasting memories.

Doug is survived by his wife, Marianela, his children (Pam, Jill, and Brad), his stepchildren (Michael and Jackie), and his five grandchildren (Corbin, Amanda, Taylor, Austin, and Shawn). He was a cherished father, grandfather, and husband, whose presence will be profoundly missed.

Doug was a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree, and later obtained his Bachelor of Laws post-graduate degree from Atlanta Law School. He enjoyed a successful career as an attorney, specializing in insurance law. Doug was passionate about his work and dedicated himself fully to his profession, retiring only days before his passing after a distinguished and fulfilling career.

In addition to his professional success, Doug was an avid car collector, with a passion for classic, luxury, and even his affectionately-named, "rain cars" - which he only drove when weather conditions were poor. His collection, which included models from Rolls Royce, Mercedes-Benz, Chevrolet, Infiniti, Bentley, and Fisker, reflected his deep appreciation for fine craftsmanship. He often spent his weekends attending car shows and indulging in his love for automobiles.

Doug was also a family man at heart. He loved spending time with his children, stepchildren, and grandchildren, whether attending family gatherings, playing tennis or ping-pong with the younger kids, or simply enjoying the warmth of togetherness. He was a constant presence in their lives, always eager to create lasting memories.

In his quieter moments, Doug found joy in relaxing with his wife, Marianela, binging the latest TV shows and movies while sharing time and doting over their dogs. He enthusiastically maintained a healthy lifestyle, but never passed up the chance to indulge in his favorite sweet treats, including chocolate, pecan pie, and his ultimate favorite: a Caramel Frappé from McDonald's.

Doug's family and friends will remember him not just for his accomplishments, but for the kindness, humor, and joy he brought into their lives. He was a man who lived life to the fullest, cherishing each moment and everyone he encountered.

He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, CA.
