Dorothy Pierce, 93 passed away January 8, 2026 at home in Long Beach where she resided for 72 years. She was born in 1932 in Long Beach, CA. Dorothy was a retired Long Beach Police Officer and also a Long standing member and board member of the International Police Association(IPA). Dorothy married her loving husband Donald in 1950. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Donald (2005) and sister Barbara Jean Randall (1997). She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Momo and Great Grandmother. Dorothy was survived by son Richard ( Char); daughter Kristine Leyvas; grandchildren Jessica, Justin (Nikki), Jillian, Jeffrey, Jason (Jenny) and Jordan (Steph). The great grandchildren are Madison, Logan, Landon, Hayden, Hudsen, Jack, Blake, Hartley, Korben, Jacey, Julia, Jadyn and Greysen.
A service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 2:00pm at Forest Lawn, Cypress Patriots Chapel. A graveside ceremony and reception will follow.
