DOROTHY M. PAULSON, of Rancho Mirage, Calif., a resident of the Coachella Valley since 1962, passed away peacefully in her home at The Springs on November 25, 2015. Born September 3, 1913 to Betty and Andrew Miller in San Francisco, Calif. Dorothy was involved in many Coachella Valley and San Francisco Bay Area Charities. She was active in Light Opera and Little Theater before marrying Allen E. Pelton in 1934, who preceded her in death in 1969. Thereafter, she married Palm Desert attorney Thomas A. Paulson. A Charter Member of The Springs Club, she was the first Social Chairman after its opening. In addition, she was the second President of the Women's Golf Auxiliary. Dorothy was a former member of Bermuda Dunes and La Quinta Country Clubs. She was a Charter and Life member of many organizations in the Valley, an active volunteer with Eisenhower Medical Center for over 25 years, and a member of the Palm Desert Community Presbyterian Church. In addition to her first loving husband, Allen E. Pelton, Dorothy was preceded in death by her subsequent loving husband Thomas A Paulson; brother, George Miller; first born son, Allen E. Pelton, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Karen Pelton. She is survived by her son, George A. Pelton and daughter-in-law, Janet L. Pelton; Cherished grandchildren, Krista Schaefer, David Pelton, and Natalie Kate Boyd; Granddaughter-in-law, Clarissa Pelton; Grandsons-in-law, Charles Schaefer and Eric Boyd; Great grandchildren, Joshua Pelton, Sara Pelton, Charlotte Grace Boyd; Ainsley Jane Boyd, and William James Boyd; and niece, Marilyn Tilarski. The family suggests donations to The College of The Desert or to Eisenhower Medical Center.
