Dorothy Perez

It is with great sadness to announce that Dorothy Perez, after an extended illness, passed away peacefully and with dignity on July 12, 2023.  She was 81.  She was born and grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana.  After she married, she resided in Glendale, California with her husband, Jose L. Perez, and family for more than 50 years.   She is survived by her four children Dolores, Angela, Jose and Frank, three grandchildren, Camille, Holly and Max, as well as her brother Edwin "Bud" Hefley and two sisters Mary Lu White and Sharon Hefley.  She is a graduate of Louisiana State University and later in life earned a Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Counseling.  She loved being in her garden tending to her many varieties of roses. She loved antiques and shopping.  Dorothy was also an active member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church. She was so loved and we will miss her.

Rosary, mass and funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 starting at 9:30 a.m. rosary and mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church (133 N 5th St, Burbank, CA 91501). A graveside service will be held after the mass at Forest Lawn in Glendale.
