Doris Marie Moore

Doris Marie Moore, 78, born on May 17, 1937 to Henry Bowling and Eva Nicholas in Mobile, Alabama. Doris received her formal education in Catholic School in Mobile, Alabama, where she graduated as valedictory. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 1958 where she pursued her education and started her family.

Doris was employed in Los Angeles by the State Department of Public Health, as a Lab Technician, where she served for thirty-five years before retiring in 1996. In her leisure she enjoyed reading, playing cards, Bingo and spending time with her family.

Doris was truly blessed. She was born on May 17, 1937 and departed this life on April 21, 2016. She resided in Temecula, California at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her loving father Henry Bowling; mother Eva Nicholas. She leaves, to cherish her memory, one brother, Junior Nicholas and two sisters Mary Alice Fite and Virginia Nicholas; one son Ankoma Okpara, Zuberi, Ojo, Roozani, Moore, 4 daughters Cheryl D. Whidby, Shirrelle O. Shiel, Valette L. Moore and Maria H. DeJesus along with 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California.
