Doris Mae Lewis

Doris M. Lewis (aka Gaga), 90 of Covina, California passed away unexpectedly on February 18, 2021. She was the daughter of Herbert and Helen McDonald Edwards and was born on January 13, 1931 in Washington, Pennsylvania. Gaga was raised in Bethany, WV and then later Morgantown, WV. She was a graduate of Morgantown High School. It was in Morgantown she met & married her husband of 72 years, Albert Lewis. They made their home in Morgantown. In the early 1960's the family moved to Southern California. They settled in the Covina Valley and raised their daughters, Dori, Jeannie & Helen. It was in Covina, Doris helped Albert start and expand a successful glass consulting and engineering business. Residing in the Covina area for 58 years, she gave tirelessly to her family, community, and church. She was a 68-year lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star Morgantown & West Covina Chapters. Doris was a lifetime member of the Disciples of Christ Church. Her legacy was that of loving service to all she knew.

Gaga is survived by her husband, Albert, daughters Dori Smith (Bob), Jeannie Lewis all of Covina, granddaughter, Nicole Christman. Brother & Sister-in-laws; Don & Mary Lewis, of Morgantown, WV, Terry & Ellen Lewis, of Morgantown, WV, Norma & Neil Jubeck of Lexington Park, MD, Dolores Jamison of Charlotte, NC, and Clarann Christy of Indianapolis, IN. Many beloved nephew, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces, grandchildren-in-law, Allison (Jared) Lovett, Jenna (Josh) Glory, great grandsons Jack, Caleb & Daniel and all who called her Gaga.

A private service and interment are scheduled for March 29, 2021, at Forest Lawn Covina Hills. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in her name to the Helen M. Lewis Medical Research Foundation in Covina, to a favorite church, charity, or the West Virginia University Foundation.
