Doris Catherine Herlihy, 97, born on November 10, 1919, in Summerville, Massachusetts, passed away May 5, 2017. She resided in Palm Springs, CA at the time of her passing. Doris is survived by her daughter, Jo; her grandson, Jeremy and his wife Barbara; and her great grandchildren, Jacob and Luke. Shortly after marrying her husband, Paul; they moved to Manhattan Beach in 1947 where they lived for 30 years. She worked as an executive account for Authentic Furniture in El Segundo during that time. She then moved to Palm Springs in 1977 to enjoy retirement and warmer weather. In 1987 she came out of retirement and started working at the Palm Springs high school in food service, she did this for 15 years before retiring again and traveling. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Cathedral City, CA.
