In loving memory of Dorita
Dora Aracely Lopez de Pineda, fondly known as "Tita" by her nieces, left a remarkable legacy as a great businesswoman, beloved family member, cherished friend, and devout Catholic. She was born on January 27, 1945, in the vibrant state of Chiapas, Mexico, to her loving parents the late Mario F. Lopez and Leonor A. de Lopez.
Dorita’s entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly throughout her career as she established her own successful company and worked diligently with the Government of the States of Oaxaca and Guanajuato. Her dedication and hard work were recognized when she received multiple awards from the Chamber of Commerce in Guanajuato for her outstanding contributions to the business community.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dorita was a beacon of kindness and generosity. Her warm personality, sense of humor, and ever-present smile endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had a knack for making everyone feel welcome and valued, whether they were family members, friends, or strangers seeking a friendly conversation.
One of the most cherished memories shared by those who knew Dorita was her love for cooking delicious meals and sharing them with others. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and she always went above and beyond to ensure that her loved ones enjoyed their favorite dishes. Additionally, she found joy in traveling, visiting friends, and spreading cheer by giving gifts to underprivileged children during the holidays.
Dorita’s passion for exploring new places extended to her family time as well. Her nieces Marion, Darinka, and Bonnie all hold dear memories of their adventures with "Tita" in Oaxaca and Irapuato. She was a devout Catholic who prayed fervently for her husband, nieces and close family.
Preceded in death by her parents Mario F. Lopez and Leonor A. de Lopez, brother Ricardo H. Lopez, sister-in-law Juanita Fernandez de Lopez, and Aunt Mercedes Sosa. Dorita is survived by her loving husband Jose A. Pineda as well as her nieces Marion J. Lopez, Darinka E. Lopez, Bonnie M. Lopez; grandson Tommy Lopez; granddaughter Emma Lopez; nephews Manuel Lopez, Rodrigo Tirado; brother-in-law Marco Pineda, Urbano Rivas; sister-in-law Alba Pineda, Aida Ibarra; cousins Willy De Leon, Nery De Leon, and host of relatives and friends who will forever cherish the time they spent with this remarkable woman.
The world has truly lost an extraordinary individual with the passing of Dora Aracely on February 26, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. Her impact on those around her will never be forgotten.
A Funeral Service to honor and celebrate Dorita’s life will be held on March 18, 2024 at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Church of our Heritage in Covina, California.
