Doortje Mamesah was born in Jakarta on December 23, 1940. She was the first of four children from the couple Leopold Mamesah and Juliana Langi. She married Izaak Rambing on April 8, 1961 in Parompong, West Java, Indonesia.
Doortje spent decades as an executive assistant at numerous companies like Bank Indonesia, Bank of America, and Marabunta. She also dabbled as an entrepreneur in the pharmacy and cleaning service industry.
She was remembered as tenacious and an agile person by her colleagues.
She migrated to the US with her husband in 2001 and lived mostly in the east coast before moving to California. She resided in Anaheim, CA at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, CA.
