Donna J. Moran, age 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Sunland, CA on April 14, 2025. Born on January 25, 1943, in the Chicago, IL area, Donna lived a life full of compassion, creativity, and pioneering spirit.

After graduating college, Donna began her career as a nurse in the Chicago area, where her dedication to caring for others left a lasting impact. She later transitioned into the tech world, becoming an award-winning Marketing Support Specialist and Customer Trainer. Her work with Bell & Howell helped revolutionize Remittance Processing Systems, earning her recognition as a trailblazer in the field.

Donna’s love for cooking led her to found Strictly Gourmet, a catering business that brought joy and flavor to countless gatherings. Her home was often filled with the warmth of friends, laughter, and the aroma of her signature dishes.

Yet, her deepest passion was for horses. Donna devoted herself to her Thoroughbred breeding and training ranch, where she found serenity, purpose, and joy among the animals she cherished.

Donna had a rare gift for seeing the world through eyes of wonder. She found beauty in the everyday — in nature, in people, in quiet moments — and inspired those around her to do the same. She reminded us all to look at life with wonder and see the beauty in the world.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Moran, and will be dearly missed by the many friends whose lives she touched with her generosity, wisdom, and vibrant spirit.

Donna’s legacy lives on in every life she touched, every meal she shared, and every hoofbeat echoing across her beloved ranch.
